Whar a teacher is

Teaching English as a Second Language as a Profession

Teacher: An educator, a coach, an instructor but also a friend, a therapist, a walking encyclopedia (or walking grammar book in case of ESL).

We do it all and we almost have it all. Money, not really- but who needs money when you have friends around the world you can visit any time - no need to pay for a hotel or tour guide. Good deal, you think? Why not try to be an ESL teacher and save on traveling expenses or even better yet, limit your choice to one country, and spend a year or two there being paid for speaking your mother tongue.

If you're wondering how to begin your exciting and rewarding new career, here at the Boston Academy of English TEFL program we can make it all happen. Our intensive and part-time programs allow people with different schedules to come to join a class where they can share their enthusiasm for the classroom. Our program is both academic and practical. We provide our teachers-to-be with plenty of opportunities to "try out" all the theories and knowledge they acquire by teaching our own ESL students from around the world. After you have become acquainted with all methodological frameworks and you're ready to "do it yourself", it's - show time! Teaching different levels, different skills, different people???..the fun is endless.

In addition to all of that, our trainees are encouraged to take advantage of our busy functioning ESL school to learn from our experienced professionals, who have been teaching English for years. As a reward for all your hard work you will receive a portable and forever-valid certificate from an accredited institution, a certificate that will take you places you have always dreamed of seeing. Sounds too good to be true? Well, believe it! The other question would be: what are you waiting for?
